Velveteen Dream’s WWE release didn’t surprise a lot of people. It might have happened a lot sooner if Dream didn’t have some very important friends.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez opened up about what he knew concerning Velveteen Dream’s WWE release. He disclosed behavioral issues that also included a time he represented the company at an EVOLVE event.

Alvarez then said there were likely far more instances of behavioral issues with Dream, but people remained quiet. He had some pull with NXT management and that caused some to forget about turning Velveteen Dream in for whatever he was doing wrong.

“He had friends very, very high up, obviously. So, there were issues that some people didn’t feel comfortable going to management about because he was close with management. I heard about behavioral issues when he went to NXT. I heard issues when he went other places, whether it be EVOLVE, or whatever. There was a lot going on in Velveteen Dream.”

It was previously reported that some in NXT were concerned that Dream was getting set up to teach classes at the Performance Center. That didn’t happen, and he was released instead. He hadn’t been at the PC in months, and then he appeared backstage at WWE RAW a couple of weeks ago without them having any plan for him at all.

We’re not sure how deep this rabbit hole goes from here. There are a lot of stories coming out about Velveteen Dream right now. As we try to sort everything out, we thank you for reading about it here at Ringside News.

You can click here for a timeline of the accusations against Velveteen Dream. It is believed that WWE thought there was nothing to those accusations which is why he remained in the company.
