As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston squared off against The Acclaimed in a tag team match. Before the match started, Max Caster did one of his usual diss raps and mentioned Jon Moxley’s wife Renee Paquette’s podcast by name, but meant it in a very suggestive manner.
Renee Paquette would respond to the suggestive rap line and has opened up about it. While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Renee Paquette revealed that she knew Max Caster was going to say something but she didn’t know what to expect.
Paquette added that she knew it was going to be a sexual innuendo, so Paquette was a little bit ready. Paquette revealed that she ultimately enjoyed it, stating that any press is good press.
“I sort of knew something was happening, but I didn’t know in what terms or what to expect. I mean obviously I expected, I’m like ‘oh someone is saying something about the show. It’s obviously a sexual innuendo.’ So I was a little bit ready for it but I didn’t know, I thought it was going to be done backstage. I really didn’t know what it was going to be. So when I saw it I was like ‘oh damn, it was a good one!’ I enjoyed it. Again, any press is good press, get out there, through it out there. And then my husband quickly knocked him on his ass. Winner all around!”
Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston would go on to defeat The Acclaimed and officially earn the right to challenge The Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Championships at AEW Double Or Nothing on May 30. We will have to see if they will be able to beat The Young Bucks for the titles.
