WWE has provided Mansoor with some great opportunities so far. They brought him to Saudi Arabia for his home country to cheer, and then they brought him back time and time again to compete. A 2019 match at Crown Jewel against Cesaro saw him pull down the biggest win of his career in Saudi Arabia. That was a life changing event for him in more ways than one.
While speaking to The Bump, Mansoor revealed how much it changed his career to get a chance to wrestle Cesaro. The Swiss Superman gave his all to that match and made sure that Mansoor looked like a Superstar. All that hard work paid off in a big way.
“That was a completely, you know, not just a career-changing match for me, but a life-changing match for me. I can’t emphasize enough how much this match changed my life. I mean, this was the match that I think proved to everybody that, ok, this kid is not just here to be rolled out every couple times a year. This is a kid who has potential. This is a kid who can bring it, and this is a kid who was able to match that level of one of the best wrestlers in the world.”
“It doesn’t surprise me at all that he’s being so successful right now. Cesaro is a guy who, let’s be honest, 99 days out of a 100, Cesaro beats me. But that one night, I had his number… That was a real magical moment for me. I really hope I can do it again with Cesaro down the line.”
Mansoor is getting started on RAW now and Cesaro is just getting elevated to a top spot on SmackDown. We will have to see what is next in both of their careers. They could always meet again in Saudi Arabia to see if the result is different next time.
