Alexander Wolfe was written out of the NXT storyline this week as Imperium kicked him out. Then he was released the next day. That was a surprising announcement, but Wolfe’s time in WWE was apparently coming to an end anyway.

Wolfe wasted no time in changing his social media name to “Axel The Axeman Tischer.” Then he posted a public statement on his WWE release. His contract was set to end on June 15th, so he was going to be a free agent on June 16th anyway. With his NXT release, he will now have a 30-day non-compete clause. He will end up where he would have been, only three days later.

Just for the record:

My WWE contract will expire on June 15th.

That means I’m a free agent on June 16th.

I have a lot in my head right now

so let’s keep it short:

Thank you @WWENXT @WWE for 6 year. Bye bye

We will have to see what Alexander Wolfe does next. He could have plenty of options, both in the United States and Europe. His story is far from finished, but this is certainly the end of a long chapter for him.

Will Alexander Wolfe end up in AEW? Sound off in the comments!
