WWE presented WrestleMania Backlash this week, and there was a lot to take in. Many fans can’t stop talking about zombies, and that is understandable. The main event of the show was switched around prior to the event as well, but zombies were always part of the cross-promotional plan.

Ringside News asked around after reports came out that WWE shifted around the WrestleMania Backlash card prior to the show. We were able to confirm that was the case. We have confirmed that “the main event was not always Universal Title match.”
The original main event of the show was initially planned to be the WWE Title triple threat match. That changed when the lineup was shifted around prior to the show on Sunday.
Roman Reigns closed out the WrestleMania Backlash show instead. Then Seth Rollins came out to beat Cesaro down. That is the way that WWE decided to go with for the pay-per-view, but that was not how it originally looked on paper.
Bobby Lashley was supposed to be holding the WWE Title high after retaining in a triple threat match during the closing moments. In the end, Roman Reigns racked up another main event match instead.
