WWE Could Be Setting Up Women’s Hair vs Hair Match

WWE has a lot of things going and they’re always looking for a new idea that they haven’t beat to death. It’s been a while since they shaved a female wrestler on live television. Bayley made headlines when she chopped off her hair and murdered her Bayley Buddies on SmackDown. She might be in for a new look soon enough: bald.

Bianca Belair and her ponytail are not likely to separate from each other any time soon. That is her gimmick, but it doesn’t mean that putting it on the line is out of the question. Belair used that ponytail to help her win at WrestleMania Backlash, a move that infuriated Bayley.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez commented on the current situation with the SmackDown Women’s Title picture. He presumed that a hair vs hair match could be on the line as the writing seems to be on the wall for such a gimmick.

“Bianca beat her using the hair. The finish was botched, but you got the idea. I don’t know if this is going to lead to a hair vs hair match, but I have a feeling that Bayley is going to put her hair on the line against the ponytail and probably get shaved bald. That would be my guess.”

We will have to see what WWE books. They were going to put Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville in a hair vs hair match last year. Ringside News was first to exclusively report that was on the table.

That hair vs hair gimmick match wasn’t used with Mandy and Sonya, because Deville couldn’t shave her head in the midst of her stalker trial. Now WWE could be circling back around to that idea.
