The Israel and Palestine conflict has already made headlines in the pro wrestling world. There were cries to #CancelCharlotteFlair after she liked a controversial tweet from Gal Gadot. That tweet was in support of Israel, but Sami Zayn’s tweets came from the other end of the argument. Flair later apologized for liking Gadot’s tweet, but Zayn is not about to say he’s sorry.

Zayn’s tweets to #FreePalestine have lit up his timeline for quite a while. He recently sent out a tweet that got WWE in some hot water with pro-Israel groups. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, pro-Israel groups contacted WWE, NBCU and FOX about what Zayn said. They reportedly did not respond.

On May 9th, Zayn tweeted out: “There is no viable moral defense for stealing people’s homes based on their ethnicity.” He later sent an angry tweet directed at Andrew Yang after he showed his support for Israel.

“Not the most tasteful statement to make within hours of Israel bombing Gaza and killing 20 Palestinians, nine of whom were children. But then again, I’m not a soulless piece of shit politician so what do I know?”

As of this writing, it seems that Zayn has no heat within WWE over those tweets. It still got him in some hot water for pro-Israel groups who did not appreciate seeing this being said at all.
