AEW has a lot of things going on as they approach Double Or Nothing. The first match they booked for the show was a Women’s Title match, and there is a lot of history between Britt Baker and Hikaru Shida. We also might have an idea about what is coming next.

Britt Baker will get a shot at Hikaru Shida’s AEW Women’s World Title at Double Or Nothing. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that their match is likely to see Baker win the title.
Baker no-sold Thunder Rosa during her interview on Dynamite this week. The fact that she didn’t mention Rosa was not lost on fans. It was also noted by Meltzer that this was also likely a tease of what’s to come.
“I presumed that all along when they did that blood bath [unsanctioned match] is that’s what it is is that Britt Baker wins the title and then Thunder Rosa becomes the top contender, because the unsanctioned match doesn’t get you the championship match. You still hold a win, even though it’s an unsanctioned win. It’s still a win so you can have a title match off of it and Thunder Rosa is ranked #2 so she’s winning and in the right spot.”
We’ll have to see what Tony Khan’s company has planned. They have plenty of options in this situation, but you also never know what can happen in pro wrestling.
