WWE NXT included a spot this week that got a lot of people talking. It wasn’t even a move done by a Superstar, because the referee got involved in the action. That is not typical and many people came down on the idea. Ex WWE referee Jimmy Korderas wasn’t a fan of it either.

During a recent Reffin’ Rant, Jimmy Korderas broke down Darryl Sharma’s leapfrog spot during the MSK vs Breezango match. He pulled the spot off, because Sharma is a former wrestler, but Korderas said that it was still a bit much.
Jimmy Korderas admitted that he did get involved in some of Eddie Guerrero’s “lie, cheat, and steal” antics in the ring back in the day. This is a bit different, but it could have been a lot worse.
“I was involved in some lie, cheat, and steal stuff with Eddie Guerrero, but nothing to that extent. I thought it was a little over the top. As good as it looked, because Darryl is a former worker, and it looked really good, but at the same time sorry Darryl, I’m not a fan of it.”
“At least this is different by not trying to get yourself over in matches by hogging the spotlight by over-selling, over-doing stuff. This was something called in the match for him by the boys, not someone going into business for themselves trying to get themselves over… difference.”
Darryl Sharma pulled off the spot very well and he left fans very entertained with a spot they didn’t see coming. It might be a while before fans see an NXT referee do a spot like that again, because they don’t want to overdo it. Still, it was appreciated enough even by those who didn’t really like seeing it.
