As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Humberto Carrillo squared off against Sheamus for the WWE United States Championship. Unfortunately, the match did not go as planned.
Many feared that Carrillo suffered an injury after a scary bump during the match. Carrillo hit a Sunset Flip Powerbomb from the apron to the floor, but it resulted in Sheamus landing on Humberto’s body.
Carrillo was motionless after the bump and many fans feared the worst. This also led to the match ended abruptly and far earlier than intended. Now an update has been given regarding his condition.
According to a report by PWInsider, many sources within the company stated that Humberto Carrillo was “OK” after the scary bump. It was not reported if Carrillo was checked out for any injury, or if he will be on the shelf.
There is some speculation regarding the finish of the match as Sheamus had his arm raised by the referee after the match ended. WWE officially noted that Sheamus won via referee stoppage.
“After suffering several brutal assaults at the hands of Sheamus in recent weeks, Humberto Carrillo battled The Celtic Warrior in a hard-fought matchup. However, before a winner could be decided, Carrillo’s high-risk maneuver backfired and left him unable to continue.”
Carrillo has yet to comment on the scary bump yet and we certainly hope Carrillo won’t be missing on any in-ring time. We will keep you updated on his condition.
