Roman Reigns is Head of the Table and Universal Champion. He shouldn’t forget about Kevin Owens.
During Talking Smack, Kevin Owens told a story about traveling with Sami Zayn and Big Cass a few years ago. One day in South Dakota, Roman Reigns rode with them. Owens said that they had a lot of fun and it was also his birthday.
Owens said that he would never do that now, “because people change.” Then he told a different story.
He talked about his WWE debut as he took out John Cena. Kevin Owens came from NXT and was NXT Champion at the time as well. He didn’t have a lot of friends on the main roster, so he was traveling by himself. Owens also said it “rubbed some people the wrong way” that he dropped John Cena on the first night.
Kevin Owens, forced to travel alone, stopped at a Waffle House at around 3:00 AM. The Usos, Naomi, and Tamina were there as well. Owens didn’t sit with them, because their booth was already full. So, he politely nodded to them and ate his meal alone. When he went to pay, Owens was told that they picked up the bill.
He said that Jey Uso has changed. He’s been “manipulated into becoming the asshole he is now.” The point he made is that people change, and he has too.
Owens wrapped everything up by saying that he did not enjoy his first run as Universal Champion. He obsessed over being the best he could be. Now things are different and he left a warning for Roman Reigns as he said “If Roman Reigns doesn’t lose the title to Cesaro, I’m going to take the title. Don’t forget about me because I am not going anywhere.”
It seems that Kevin Owens has a lot to prove and he is gunning for the top.
