WWE decided to split up Retribution during the kickoff show before Fastlane. That was a clear indication about how much the faction mattered in the scheme of things. Now fans will see the remains of that splintered faction.
Mustafa Ali is back to wrestling on Main Event. Mace and T-Bar have already found a spot on Raw’s weekly storylines. They are feuding with top Superstars like Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman. The former Retribution members also dropped their masks, but kept their names.
It was previously reported that Reckoning and Slapjack were moved to SmackDown. Ringside News can confirm that Mia Yim and Shane Thorne are being brought up during creative meetings. They have not been forgotten about yet.
The Retribution angle is 100% done now. It’s unclear whether WWE will drop the Reckoning and Slapjack masks and names. They are discussing how to best implement them into the blue brand.
Mia Yim has posted a few headshots as of late that show her without that Reckoning mask on. She really didn’t get much of an opportunity to even wrestle under that gimmick as a majority of Retribution’s matches saw her standing at ringside instead.
WWE has not forgotten about the two remaining Retribution members. They are simply trying to fit them into the program. It’s anyone’s guess at this point whether they will be heavily pushed on the blue brand.
