Cryptic Note Concerning Daniel Bryan’s Pro Wrestling Future

Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract expired at Midnight on Friday right after he lost to Roman Reigns on SmackDown. His story is a very interesting one, and it might just become the subject of an episode of Dark Side of the Ring eventually.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Daniel Bryan’s situation. He then said that anyone who says that they know what Daniel Bryan is doing is “a lying.” This was followed by Meltzer dropping a very cryptic comment about the current circumstances surrounding Bryan Danielson’s WWE status.

“It’s up in the air, and… it’s up in the air. I’m sure someday in 30 years I’ll have more to say. I have Dark Side of the Ring flashbacks on this story already.”

When asked why he was having Dark Side of the Ring flashbacks, Meltzer simply said that “the Brian Pillman episode is airing tonight.” He then admitted that it had nothing to do with Daniel Bryan, but the hint is certainly there that the story has much more information to it that hasn’t come out yet.

Meltzer then said: “There are some crazy things going on in wrestling, but they haven’t happened yet. I’m sure one of them will be when he shows up somewhere. It could be WWE, or it could be somewhere else. That’s all that there is, for now.”

We’ll have to see what’s going on with Daniel Bryan. He has a list of dream matches that he wants to wrestle. Bryan also wants to wrestle in Arena Mexico, and he has often teased a hair vs hair match. There is a lot left for Daniel Bryan to accomplish in pro wrestling and he never wants to retire either.
