Molly Holly is a two-time women’s champion and also a former Hardcore champion. She was one of the highlights of the women’s division during the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era in WWE as well.
While speaking on X-Pac’s Pro Wrestling 4 Life podcast, Molly Holly talked about her time in WWE. She was asked about her relationship with Vince McMahon, to which Holly revealed that she never spoke to Vince McMahon for the most part.
Holly claimed that the only time she ever spoke to Vince McMahon was when Holly asked for her WWE release.
“I didn’t have any conversations with Vince. The only conversation I’ve had with Vince in my entire career was when I asked to be released from my contract early. That’s the only time I’ve ever said more than ‘hello’ to him. The way that I got hired was through Jim Ross, and then throughout my time there, I would talk with the writers or head of talent relations, but I didn’t really have any conversations with Vince, so it was a big deal for me to walk into his office and tell him, ‘Thank you for everything. And I’d like to close my chapter on pro wrestling.’ I wouldn’t say that I have a friendship with him or anything. He shook my hand at the Hall of Fame, and I took my picture with him and he was very nice.”
Molly Holly asked for her release from WWE back in 2005 and since then made sporadic appearances. She competed in the 2018 and 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble matches as well and was inducted into this year’s WWE Hall Of Fame.
