Daga left Impact Wrestling and hasn’t re-appeared for an American pro wrestling company since. There are some big rumors going around about him and those might have been amplified by the fact that he had to relinquish a title in AAA.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained why Daga had to relinquish his Latin American Title in AAA. He was unable to attend the Rey De Reyes event last night. Right now Daga is establishing residency in the United States with his new wife Tessa Blanchard.

“The Latin American Title went to Taurus because Daga was the champion and he couldn’t come in for the show so he relinquished the title. He’s not going to be back for months because he’s back in the United States establishing residency. He can’t go back to Mexico until that’s done, however long that will be. They’re hoping that he’ll be back by late Summer.”

There is a report that Daga and Tessa Blanchard are close to signing with AEW. We’ll have to wait on that because AAA is apparently under the belief that Daga will return to them sometime in the Summer.
