Matt Riddle Says Nobody Thought Tag Team With Randy Orton Could Happen

As seen on last nights episode of Monday Night RAW, the unlikely team of Matt Riddle and Randy Orton squared off against Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander.

Orton and Riddle pulled off the win which surprised many fans. After their triumphant victory, Riddle and Orton spoke on RAW Talk. The team now go by the name “R-K-Bro.” Riddle then talked about how the team came together.

Riddle was pleasantly surprised that Orton himself approached him to form the tag team by booking them for a match.

“Nobody thought it was going to happen, especially after I beat Randy in the center of the ring last week. I think he had a week to think about my offer from last week. In fact, on April 20, he sent me a tweet about R-K-Bro and said he actually liked the name.”

‘Since he’s a Viper, I was a little worried that he was setting me up. When he approached me backstage tonight, I was actually expecting a confrontation. But the fact that he made plans for us, and even booked us to a match… he just knows how to warm a bro’s heart. This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”

The two were also interviewed backstage to address the future of R-K-Bro as well. We will have to see what the company has planned for the newly-formed tag team.
