WWE fired several people from the company last week as their talent and branding department was gutted. Now they have a new hire to reveal.
The company announced today that Claudine Lilien will now serve as Senior Vice President and Head of Global Sales & Partnerships. She previously held senior leadership positions for FOX Corp, FOX Sports, and FOX Networks group.
Lilien will report directly to Stephanie McMahon in her new position. She will be a key member of the company’s senior management team and will be responsible for day-to-day operations of WWE’s sales organization. She will also be responsible for “expanding [WWE’s] roster of sponsors and promotional partnerships.”
Stephanie McMahon was very happy about this new hire as she commented on Lilien’s new job.
“Claudine is a seasoned executive with a strong business acumen and outstanding reputation within the sports and entertainment marketplace. I am excited for Claudine to lead WWE’s sales division and look forward to her immediate contributions as we continue to deliver tremendous value to our world-class partners.”
Lilien spent more than 15 years at FOX Corp and helped the company establish many goals. We will have to see how long she is able to stick around WWE and what she can accomplish along the way. She is also currently on the Board of Trustees for Lafayette College, the college where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
