The Undertaker will forever be remembered as one of the greatest pro wrestlers to have ever stepped foot inside the squared circle. He gave more than three decades of his life to the business and The Undertaker’s contributions will never be forgotten.

The Undertaker’s final match ended up being the Boneyard match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36, which was praised by fans and Superstars alike. While speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, The Undertaker revealed when he knew The Deadman was going to hang up his boots for good.

The Undertaker said that halfway through his match against AJ Styles, the Deadman realized it was over for him.

“About halfway through that night with AJ, I knew that was it for me,” Undertaker said. “It became really obvious throughout the course of that night that I could no longer physically do things the way I want to do them, and I refuse to ever shortcut our fans.”
