WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle is a veteran in the pro wrestling business and proven himself to be one of the best in-ring performers to ever grace a WWE ring. He also has one of the most iconic entrance songs in the history of the company. Now it seems a very unexpected person chose his theme song.
While speaking on a ‘Ask Kurt Anything’ Q&A session on AdFreeShows.com, Kurt Angle revealed that it was Vince McMahon who ended up choosing his WWE theme song.
Angle also stated that he preferred his WWE theme song over his TNA one as he felt that his WWE theme music suited his personality and on-screen character better.
“I loved them both. I didn’t pick my WWE song; Vince McMahon picked it for me,” said Angle. “But I picked my TNA song, and it was a spin-off of the movie Vision Quest. The song is called Lunatic Fringe, and it’s an amateur wrestling movie. I’m a big fan of amateur wrestling, obviously, so I decided to use that melody in my mix. I had John Cena’s cousin, Tha Trademarc, do the rapping, and he was awesome. So, it was a badass entrance song, but which one did I like better? I still like my WWE theme song. I think it fits me perfectly.”
Kurt Angle had earlier ruled out going to AEW as he is loyal to WWE and also revealed that he has something planned with the company. We will have to see if Angle will ever make his return to WWE since being fired last year.
