WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle is a veteran in the pro wrestling business and proven himself to be one of the best in-ring performers to ever grace a WWE ring.
While speaking on an ‘Ask Kurt Anything’ Q&A session on AdFreeShows.com, Kurt Angle addressed a longstanding rumor that Triple H spoke ill of him during WWE meetings.
Angle revealed that Vince McMahon told him to take part in WWE meetings during the early years of his career but he stopped after a year due to backstage heat.
“It wasn’t my idea to start attending the meetings.” Angle said. “It was actually Vince’s idea, and I don’t know why Vince would want me to go. I think he was trying to train me as a long-term employee of the company. He wanted me to understand the business much quicker, and he wanted me to understand the production and everything else that went with it. So, he asked me to start going, and I went for about a year.
Kurt Angle then denied rumors that Triple H slandered his name in WWE meetings. Angle stated Triple H never badmouthed him while he was in the meetings.
“But Triple H never said anything bad about me in the meetings, at least not when I was in there, but I don’t know if it happened beforehand. I’m not really sure, but he always talked well of me as far as I know.”
Kurt Angle had previously ruled out going to AEW as he is loyal to WWE and also has something planned with the company. We will have to see what Angle has planned with the company.
