16-time World Champion John Cena is undoubtedly one of the most popular pro wrestlers to have ever competed inside the squared circle. He was the face of WWE for over ten years and defined the PG era of the company. He is now a part-timer due to his busy career in Hollywood.

While speaking to Bleacher Report’s Graham Matthews, John Cena talked about Roman Reigns’ current run in WWE. He stated that Roman Reigns is crafting his own path in the company and isn’t following anyone’s footsteps.

“Roman is walking in his own steps, he follows in no one’s footsteps,” Cena said. “This happens every time a marquee attraction has moved on. I went through it, everybody said it with Steve [Austin] and The Rock and I understand that. But Roman is crafting his own path, and I think it’s very important to say that he’s doing a great job. I feel this is the best he’s ever been and that comes with comfort. I don’t know what got him over that hill, but he’s over it and that’s a very important one to jump over.”

Roman Reigns is currently the WWE Universal Champion and has been running roughshod on Friday Night Smackdown since winning the title last year. Many fans agree he is on the best run of his career and we will have to see what is next in store for the Tribal Chief.
