Former WWE Superstar Christian Cage made his in-ring return at the Royal Rumble earlier this year. Many fans were wondering whether he would stay with WWE in the long run but that didn’t happen as Christian made his debut in AEW last month at AEW Revolution.
While speaking on AEW Unrestricted, Christian Cage was asked about WWE Superstars he’d have liked to face in the company if Cage had stayed.
Christian revealed that he wanted to face off against Kevin Owens in a feud as he likes the way Owens delivers his promos. Christian also mentioned Sami Zayn as someone he’d like to have faced in WWE as well.
“I would say probably Kevin Owens. I really like the passion that he has. I like the way that he delivers his promos. I think he’s fearless when he delivers his promos. I think that he’s a fearless competitor in the ring as well. I just like his style. Sami Zayn as well. I thought, especially this character the way it is now, we could have done some pretty special things. So off the top of my head, I would say probably those two guys.”
Christian Cage is currently a mainstay on AEW television and is feuding with Team Taz, as he beat Powerhouse Hobbs on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. We will have to see when Cage will be involved in the main event title picture.
