AEW Has Big Plans For Blood & Guts Match

AEW is finally getting around to putting on Blood & Guts. This match, which is inspired by WarGames, will feature two rings. There will also likely be blood, and it will be a very long match.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that the Blood & Guts match on May 5th will likely be the only live match on the show. It was said that there could be pre-taped segments, but no matches are likely to be on the show other than the big Blood & Guts match.

We’ll have to see what AEW does with this idea. Cody Rhodes really wanted to bring WarGames to AEW, and this is the best that they can do considering the fact that WWE owns those copyrights.

The Inner Circle was supposed to take on The Elite last year. That match was cancelled because of the pandemic. They are getting back around to the idea now, but The Inner Circle are babyfaces this time and they are facing The Pinnacle.

The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle will meet for a “parley” next week on AEW Dynamite.
