In the main event of Night One of WrestleMania 37, Sasha Banks defended her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair.
The historic main event saw Bianca Belair put on the performance of her career and defeat Sasha Banks to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast on AdFreeShows.com, WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross talked about Bianca Belair vs Sasha Banks. Ross admitted that he wasn’t sure if Belair was ready to compete at WrestleMania 37.
Thankfully, Belair removed all doubts after her tremendous performance in the match.
“I wasn’t really sure that Bianca Belair was going to be WrestleMania in-ring ready, to be fully transparent, but they did a phenomenal job. Really emotional match. I thought it was really good, and you know, Bianca Belair is probably, she is probably one of the top two of three, four, whatever, just raw athletes on the roster, male or female. You know, she was a track star, division one, Tennessee, and other places. So, she is a great athlete, and I thought they did fine.”
It is likely Bianca Belair will defend her title against Sasha Banks at WrestleMania Backlash next month. We will have to see how they will further develop the feud until then.
