Jim Ross Was A BIG FAN Of John Cena & Maria Kanellis Romantic WWE Storyline

John Cena has been involved in some interesting WWE storylines. Some of them even blended reality into the situation. Jim Ross was a big fan of a certain Cena storyline.

During Grilling JR, Jim Ross brought up John Cena’s run in WWE back in 2006, particularly the part that dealt with Maria Kanellis. The two had an on-screen romance, but it was never confirmed to be real. Jim Ross seemed to really enjoy what he saw as he pined over Kanellis a bit.

“Well, look at her. Do you think she is not TV-worthy? That’s it. She had great sex appeal. She was a fresh face and was always professional, wide-eyed, and open to trying things. I actually thought that was a good choice because she was a new player in the equation, and she had all the tools that she wanted. And if John Cena is going to have a girlfriend, she’s going to be hot.”

Maria Kanellis dated CM Punk during that period of time, and she’s already commented in the past to say that she was simply acting. Fans will still think whatever they want about the reality of the situation. Jim Ross certainly thought it was television-worthy.
