Iron Sheik Shares Memory Of Getting Arrested To Celebrate 4:20 Day

It’s April 20th which means a lot of things to different people. For the Iron Sheik, he’s celebrating in his own way.

The WWE Hall of Famer tweeted out an animated depiction of his famous arrest with Hacksaw Jim Duggan. This event made pro wrestling history. The fact that two wrestlers got busted with a ton of drugs wasn’t the headline, because people only cared about breaking kayfabe.

Duggan was a babyface and Sheik was a heel. Those two were caught together, partying it up on the highway. That was the real problem within the industry. It also made for one heck of a story.

“HAPPY 420 YOU SEE WHY I AM THE LEGEND OF THE EARTH,” Sheik tweeted out as a caption for this video. The animation is pretty good and it tells the whole truth about the event without hiding anything. Things were much different back then.
