Sami Zayn is one of the mainstays of Friday Night Smackdown and his current conspiracy theorist gimmick is certainly a hit with fans. Sami Zayn had previously revealed that he had requested to face two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Sean Waltman in a match at SummerSlam a couple of years ago.
However, WWE rejected Sami Zayn’s request to square off against Sean Waltman. Now Waltman himself decided to reply to Sami Zayn’s tweet. Waltman said that two years ago he had health and injury issues that needed adressing.
Waltman then added that he is down for a match with Sami Zayn at SummerSlam if people want to see it happen.
“I had a few health/injury issues that needed addressing at that time. Now that I’ve taken care of them, there’s always next #SummerSlam…if that’s something people want to see. #wwe”
Waltman later clarified that he meant SummerSlam 2022 as Waltman had ACL surgery three months ago and won’t be able to recover in time for this year’s SummerSlam. We will have to see if the match ever happens next year.
