Roman Reigns is undoubtedly one of the top Superstars in WWE and is currently the Universal Champion. He successfully retained his title against Edge and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 37.

Roman Reigns was a babyface for several years despite fans actively rejecting him in that role.

While speaking on the ARN Podcast, Arn Anderson talked about WrestleMania 32, which was headlined by Roman Reigns and Triple H in a WWE Championship match.

Anderson then discussed Roman Reigns’ time as a babyface and explained why it never clicked with fans. He stated that Reigns was booked like a God, which fans didn’t like at all.

“The fact that Roman goes out there and spears five guys does not make Roman more of a baby face,” Anderson said. “It makes him a God, and he’s not earning his position or push. He’s just out there running through guys and the audience smells it and they don’t like it.”

Thankfully, Reigns is arguably on his best run now and that had to do with him finally becoming a heel. We will have to see what is next in store for Reigns.
