The Young Bucks Almost Had Huge Match With The New Day

AEW Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks are undoubtedly one of the best tag teams in the pro wrestling world. They have competed against almost every top tag team in the business except for a coupke. One of them is The New Day.

While speaking to TV Insider, The Young Bucks were asked about a tag team they would like to wrestle in AEW. The Young Bucks stated that they have faced every tag team worth mentioning except The Usos and The New Day.

The Young Bucks revealed they were close to having an Elite vs The New Day match, but WWE didn’t approve it.

“I feel like we’ve wrestled every tag team we’ve wanted to. I guess the Usos and The New Day would be the only two left who would be on my bucket list. When we were close to doing The Elite versus The New Day a few years ago, WWE never gave the okay on it. We were really close to doing it.”

With WWE allowing Chris Jericho to appear on Steve Austin’s podcast, many fans are hopeful about a possible partnership between the two companies in the future. We will have to see if The Young Bucks ever face The New Day somewhere down the line.
