Mickie James was part of WWE releases yesterday, but she had no intention of ending her in-ring career. WWE kept her on the sidelines for a long time, and her last match was on at the Royal Rumble.

According to Fightful Select, Mickie James made no secret about the fact that she wanted to continue wrestling. She was “vocal backstage” about her desire to lock it up in the ring again. Sadly, WWE felt otherwise.

Mickie James was last seen on commentary during NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. She was part of the kickoff show where she sat at the announce booth for a match. We’ll have to see where she ends up next, but James obviously doesn’t consider herself retired from in-ring competition.
