AEW Dynamite Results for April 14, 2021

A recap of last weeks Young Buck’s heel turn starts the show. The Bucks say they are going to show a newer, better version of themselves.

Mike Tyson says he is delighted to be tonight’s enforcer. MJF shows up and tries to convince him to “be on the right side of history”, makes fun of his face tattoo and gives Tyson a blank cheque. Tyson rips up the cheque, eats it and spits it in MJF’s face.

Christian has an open challenge tonight.

Death Triangles music plays to bring out Pac and Fenix. The Bucks are out next, accompanied by Don Callis.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: The Young Bucks vs. Pac and Rey Fenix

Pac and Matt start, lock up, Matt driven into the ropes. Pac with waist lock, both men evenly matched. Matt goes to the wrong corner to tagm Fenix and Nick tag in. Nick and Fenix also evenly matched, quick action back and forth, both men miss dropkicks. The entire tag division is watching from the stands. Matt tags in, Fenix with a huricanrana, diving headbutt, Pac runs in, suicide dive to the outside, Fenix with a suicide dive of his own. Fenix with a hard chop to Matt, body slam, Pac tags in, quick tag back to Pac, both men with superkicks to Matt. Fenix goes for the pin, 2 count.

Matt stops Fenix from doing old school, knocks Pac off the apron, Nick with and X Factor to Fenix. Nick shows off to the camera. Matt tags in, double hip toss, double dropkick, 2 count. Matt rakes the back of Fenix, tags in Nick, Fenix with a double armdrag, tag to Pac, Pac with a shotgun dropkick, brain buster to Matt, 2 count. Matt driven into the corner, then the opposite corner. Matt with strikes to the midsection to no effect, Pac with hard kicks to Matt, Nick pulls Pac of of the ring, Matt dives onto Pac. On the outside, the Bucks both hit powerbombs onto the apron. In the ring, Nick drives Pac into the corner, rising knee strike. Matt tags in, running… back rake to Pac.

Picture in picture. Matt with a rear chin lock. Pac with forearm strikes to Matt, Pele kick, Matt falls into his own corner, Nick tags in, Quick tag back to Matt, Matt with a senton. Pac fights back with forearm strikes. Matt sweeps the legs, rising strike from Nick, diving footstomp on Pac. Bucks double team attack Pac while the ref is distracted with Fenix. Pac, drives both Buck out of the ring. Nicks pulls Fenix off the apron before Pac can get the tag.

Matt taunts to the crowd, “Young Bucks suck” chants ring out. Matt with a clothesline, Matt continues to taunt tot he crowd, mocking his old self. Pac with a huge inside out clothesline. Fenix finally tags in, runs wild on the Bucks, Nick hung up on the ropes, chop to Matt, Fenix with a double cutter, 2 count. Pac tags in, double team stomp/kick, Pac with a blue thunder bomb, 2 count. Nick with a jawbreaker, Pac with a German suplex. Fenix with a tightrope kick to Matt, tope suicida to Nick, Pac gets a 2 count after a German suplex.

Pac with a pump kick, Matt with a superkick, Nick hits an insane Canadian destroyer on Fenix. Back and forth strikes from Pac and Matt. Pac driven to the apron, both men on the apron, double reverserana, Fenix driven into the crowd, Fenix hits a cutter on the outside. Matt driven into the corner, Pac with a superplex. Fenix with a frogsplash for the 2 count. Pac tags in, hit the black arrow, Nick breaks up the pinfall. Nick drags Matt to their corner to make the tag, Nick with a low blow on Pac, superkick to Fenix and rips Fenix mask off, Bucks with a double superkick for the victory.

Young Bucks win.

Bucks celebrate with Callis on the outside.

Marvez is with the Dark Order and Hangman Page. Page goes to get eggrolls for everybody, Silver rehabs his shoulder with the ehlp of the Dark Order.

Commercial Break.

Marvez is with the Inner Circle and Mike Tyson. Jericho says they have changed their ways, Jericho called the people he owed an apology to, the first being Mike Tyson. Jericho says he expects to special treatment. Tyson says the best man will win, he will take no sides, the shake hands.

Red Velvet makes her entrance. Jade Carghill is out next.

Red Velvet vs. Jade Cargill

Velvet starts hot with strikes to Carghill, Jade hits a big pumpkick in retaliation. Velvet with a dropkick. Velvet with a spinning back kick, drives Carghill out of the ring and hits a tope suicida. Velvet with a clubbing blow tot he back, sends Jade to the barricade. Jade this a fall away slam over the barricade into the crowd. Carghill poses in the ring, Forearm strikes to Velvet, delayed suplex to Velvet.

Picture in picture. Carghill continues to dominate. Slingshot to Velvet, Velvet flips out of a suplex, Carghill with a spinning powerslam for a 2 count. Velvet takes the advantage with a spinning enziguri. Clothesline to Carghill but she stays on her feet, velvet with a huge clothesline finally gets her down, facebuster from Velvet. standing moonsault to Carghill, 2 count. Velvet misses a moonsault from the top rope. Carghill hits the Jaded for the win.

Jade Carghill wins.

Tony Schiavone is backstage with Britt Baker. Bakers goes through the ranking system, Bakers says she should be elevated to number 2, she will be wrestling on Dark Elevation on Monday and we can finally get a role model as AEW Women’s champion.

Anthony Agogo makes his entrance accompanied by the Factory.

Lock up to start, Carter powered to the corner. Agogo with a big body shot to Carter, the ref calls for the bell.

Video package for Miro. Miro says he hasn’t seen Kip since Arcade Anarchy, he is moving on with or without him.

Justin Roberts introduces Mike Tyson as the special enforcer. The Pinnacle’s music plays to bring out FTR. Judas rings out to introduce Chris Jericho accompanied by Sammy Guevara. The ref tells Tully to leave ringside.

Fiery start as Jericho and Dax with quick fire punches. Jericho grabs a steel chair, Tyson takes it off him and Dax takes advantage with a forearm. Dax grabs Jericho’s bat, Tyson takes it off him. Dax sent into the barricade. Dax and Jericho brawl in the crowd. Back in the ring, Dax hits strikes in the corner. Jericho with chops, clotheslines in the corner. Dax hits Jericho with a microphone behind the refs back. Jericho with a pen to the eye, body slam on the outside. Jericho takes over the camera, give Dax the finger. Dax sends Jericho into the corner post. Throws Jericho into the barricade, Dax argues with Tyson.

Picture in picture. Dax with a baseball slide. gets in the face of Tyson. Dax with knees to Jericho. Dax gauges at the face of Jericho. Dax with a chop, Jericho with a headbutt and then a diving crossbody for the 2 count. dax with a clothesline. Chops back and forth, Jericho gets the advantage, Jericho with a shoulder block, and another. Jericho with a double axe handle, bulldog into a lionsault, 2 count.

Strikes back and forth, Jericho with a big clothesline, 2 count. Dax with a springboard powerbomb for a 2 count. Dax misses a diving headbutt. Jericho goes form the liontamer, locks it in. Cash hits Jericho, Dax gets a rollout, 2 count. Sammy attacks Cash before Tyson can get there.. Jericho misses a Judas effect, Dax hits the brainbuster for a 2 count. Jericho hits the codebreaker. The Pinncale come out, the Inner Circle follow and attack, a huge brawl on the stage. Cash with the bat, Tyson stops him from attacking with a huge right hand. Jericho hits the Judas Effect for the victory.

Inner Circle celebrates with Mike Tyson. Jericho gets a mic and says right here, right now, Mike Tyson is a member of the Inner Circle.

Marvez is backstage with Omega and the Elite. Callis says hit the bricks. Callis says just when you think you’ve seen it all, you haven’t seen anything. when the Bucks joined the fold, it wasnt the end of the story, it was the beginning. Omega says they never changed, they just got sick of doing what they wanted them to do. Where they go the gold will follow. Matt says they are the best tag team in the world. Callis says be prepare to be surprised again. Callis hits a superkick on the cameraman.

A Thunder Rosa video package. She wants botht eh AEW and NWA Womens titles.

Kris Statlander makes her way to the ring along with the Best Friends and Orange Cassidy. Amber Nova is already in the ring.

Welcome Back chants for Statlander. She bops the ref. Lock up to start the match, Statlander drives Nova to the corner. Statlander with an armdrag, she bops Nova. Statlander with a forearm, powerslam. Nova with slaps to Kris, Statlander with a gorilla press. Leg drop and flipping senton from Statlander. Uppercut and running knee strike to Nova. Roundhouse kick from Statlander, Supernova piledriver for the victory.

Kris Statlander wins.

Dasha is with Team Tazz, Tazz says they have been waiting a week from Christian to answer their offer. Starks says they shouldnt have to wait, Tazz says both Starks and Cage should wait backstage while they get an answer from Christian Cage.

Commercial Break.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring, brings out Christian Cage. Christian says its a huge thrill to be interviewed by Tony. Team Tazz interrupts, says he gave Christian a huge opportunity. Christian says Team Tazz is a bit of a dumpster fire. Makes fun of Tazz’s height. He came to AEW to win championships. His answer is no. Tazz calls Christian a shithead. Calls Christian ungrateful and disrespectful. Powerhouse Hobbs steps into the ring with Christian. They brawl before Hobbs takes down a distracted Christian. Christian driven into the barricade twice. Hobbs presses Christian face first onto the mat. Slams his head onto the steel steps. Team Tazz leaves Christian laying.

Matt Hardy is first out for our main event. Darby Allin is out next.

TNT Championship Match: Darby Allin vs. Matt Hardy

Matt grabs a chair immediately. The match is anything goes. Matt misses a chair shot, then hits a chair into Darby’s back after a spring board. Another chair shot to the back. Page and Sky are watching from the stands, Matt continues to strikes with the chair. Matt sits on the chair and taunts Darby. Big right hand to Darby. Welts on the back of Darby from the chair. The chair driven into the ribs of Darby. Right hand from Darby. Matt fights back with a hanging neckbreaker, 2 count.

Darby’s face driven into the chair. Another strikes to Darby’s back with the chair. Darby retaliates with the chair, hitting Matt in the back. The Hardy Family Office come down, attacking Darby. Dark Order run down coming to Darby’s aide, Sting also comes down, takes down Marc Quen. Sting with the bat, attacking Private Party driving them out of the ring.

Picture in picture. The brawl between HFO and Dark Order continues in the stands. Matt gets a pin on Darby for a 1 count. Matt with strikes on Darby on the ringside table. Darby fights back with the trashcan. Darby driven into the retaining wall. Darby whipped hard over the steel steps, into the barricade, Matt with a cover, 2 count. Sky and Page enter the ringside, Lance Archer stops them. Archer enters the ring with Sting. Archer with the Blackout to Isiah Cassidy, showing off to Sting. Darby attacks Matt with a chair. Sting throws his bat to Darby.

Matt with a low blow. Matt puts Darby head though a chair, hits the twist of fate with a chair, 2 count. Matt throws Darby down the entrance tunnel. They brawl backstage. darby thrown into a monitor. Matt sets up a ladder. Sets Darby on a table. Matt climbs the ladder, legdrop through the table. Darby kicks out at 2. Back on the stage, Darby with a low blow, grabs Stings bat, hits Matt in the midsection and back with the bat. Darby destroys the broadcast position with the bat. sets Matt on the commentary table. Darby climbs a steel structure, hits the coffin drop through the table for the victory.

Darby Allin wins.

Dynamite ends with Darby holding up the TNT Championship.
