At the monumental show, Karrion Kross was able to overcome Finn Balor to become the new NXT Champion. Kross and Scarlett will open tonight’s NXT but that’s about all we know. Will Balor challenge Kross to a rematch? Or does a new challenger step up? Let us know what you think might happen.
NXT’s other major title changed hands last week, with Raquel Gonzalez defeating Io Shirai after her incredible reign. Gonzalez will also be live on NXT tonight to talk about her win and possibly set-up a new feud. The new NXT Tag Team Champions, MSK, will defend their titles against Drake Maverick & Killian Dain. Santos Escobar defeated Jordan Devlin in a gruelling ladder match to become the undisputed Cruiserweight Champion and tonight he extends an open challenge to the NXT roster.
Tonight will also see the debut of Frankie Monet, Leon Ruff Vs. Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, and a huge tag team match with The Way taking on Dexter Lumis, Bronson Reed, Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon. It’s a jam-packed edition of NXT and we want to hear from you in the comments below. So hit the refresh button below and enjoy the show!
This week’s show opens with Scarlett and the new NXT Champion, Karrion Kross, making their way to the ring.
Kross says he told us all this would happen. He says time always comes for everyone. It was only a matter of time until he was the NXT Champion again. As for Mr. Balor, Finn is one of the best to ever step foot in the ring. He went on a tear as the Champion but unfortunately for him, he though his emotions were a weakness but anything can be a driving force when you learn to control it. And Kross controls everything. Kross says that, not that time has corrected course, he is in charge of everything.
They say when you’re on top you acn only go down but he’s sure that’s a lie. No-one will out-work or out-train him. NXT has the hungriest guys and girls in the industry but he’s starving and insatiable. So if you want the NXT Championship you can step right up and he will make your head roll. He doesn’t care who you are, howmany zeroes are on your cheque, or how good you think you are, he will fold everyone until there’s no-one left. Because in the end, everybody pays the toll.
We see highlights from the first-ever two-night NXT TakeOver, which saw Karrion Kross defeat Finn Balor for the NXT Championship, MSK become the new NXT Tag Team Champions, Walter retain the United Kingdom Championship over Tommaso Ciampa, JKyle O’Reilly defeat Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano retain over Bronson Reed, Santos Escobar become the undisputed Cruiserweight Champion, and Raquel Gonzalez become the new NXT Women’s Champion. Later tonight Raquel Gonzalez will speak for the first time since winning her title, and we’ll see exclusive footage of the aftermath of Cole Vs. O’Reilly.
