Drew McIntyre will be heading into Night One of WrestleMania as the challenger for Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship. It was reported earlier that his match against Lashley will be opening the pay-per-view.

The Scottish Warrior took to Twitter and shared his thoughts on opening WrestleMania 37. McIntyre stated that he has been saying since last year that McIntyre wants to be the first person out when crowds return. McIntyre added that he can’t wait for that noise to hit.

I’ve said for the last year I want to be the first person out when crowds return. I can’t wait for that noise to hit. I just feel bad for everyone having to follow me and Bobby, we’ll set the standard, you all try and keep up #WrestleMania

The build-up of the match leading into WrestleMania 37 led many to believe that it will be the main event of night one. That didn’t happen as Sasha Banks vs Bianca Belair was confirmed to be the main event instead. We will have to see if McIntyre can beat Lashley for the WWE Championship.
