AEW held their first ever house show tonight at Daily’s Place, and they had quite a crowd in Jacksonville. It was initially reported that the company expected to sell 1,300 tickets, but that number hasn’t been confirmed.

Cody Rhodes defeated Aaron Solow in a street fight that lasted over 15 minutes. The two brawled all over the arena and eventually made it back to the ring for a table spot off the top rope. Cody won that match.

AEW might start doing house shows more often. They certainly have a roster full of stars who need more time in the ring. We’ll have to see if they continue with that idea, because they initially planned on running two house shows a month starting in late 2020.
