Joey Ryan was called out by several people during the #SpeakingOut movement. He has since been pretty much universally barred from pro wrestling. Ryan has maintained that he is not guilty and he has filed, and dropped, several lawsuits against his accusers.

The King Of Sleaze tweeted out on Tuesday night to say: “You can’t convict someone who hasn’t committed a crime.” That sparked quite a response.

One fan fired back to Ryan saying, “just because nobody went to the police doesn’t mean a crime wasn’t committed. there’s lots of crimes that go unreported. sexual abuse, domestic violence, and rape are the most under-reported crimes, so you should already know why women don’t go the police.”

Joey Ryan then responded to say that he tried to get an investigation himself, but nobody went to the police. He also claims that Impact Wrestling did not conduct an investigation as was required by their contract.

“That’s why I tried to get an investigation myself. Nobody went to the police and Impact didn’t do the one agreed to in my contract. Do you think I’m bringing attention to it if I’m hiding something?

Joey Ryan is maintaining his innocence because he was never charged with a crime. He also said: “I’m not hiding. I welcome an investigation.” We will have to see if that investigation occurs.

In the meantime, Joey Ryan has already made it clear that he’s not trying to make a return to pro wrestling.
