Andrade was released from WWE after they granted his request. He is 31 years old and a free man without any non-compete clause. He still wants to make a return to WWE eventually and rise to the top.
While speaking to on a media call, Andrade expressed his desire to make a WWE return. He still has things he wants to accomplish, mainly becoming WWE Champion. This is still a big goal of his.
Andrade did note that he still has goals he would like to accomplish in WWE, specifically becoming WWE Champion, and cited Drew McIntyre’s path as one he could follow.
WWE has crowned a few wrestlers as World Champion who took off and made a name on their own outside of the company. Bobby Lashley, Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal, Jeff Hardy and more were released from or quit WWE only to come back and hold top titles. Perhaps Andrade can join those names.
We’ll have to see what Andrade can accomplish in the meantime. He has a lot of possibilities and is talking to a few different companies. The fact that he doesn’t have a non-compete clause could allow him to strike while the iron is hot and not have to wait around for three months like most WWE releases.
