Andrade was released by WWE in an official announcement made after the end of the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view. Andrade knew about the release a few hours beforehand.
Now more details regarding his release have been revealed. According to Fightful Select, it was mentioned that sources in WWE were shocked to see the company actually granting Andrade his release.
Sources further stated that they were told last week that it was unlikely Andrade was getting his release immediately. It was said that WWE’s higher-ups had a change of heart over the past week regarding their decision to grant Andrade his release. His contract has a 90-day non-compete clause attached to it and is set to expire on June 20, 2021. .
He cannot go as Andrade Cien Almas after his WWE release, but he can use the Andrade name if he wishes. Andrade was certainly glad he finally got released. We will have to see what is next in store Andrade.
