WWE had some matches planned for NXT this week, but a COVID-19 outbreak caused a big change of plans.
We previously reported that several members of the Performance Center tested positive for COVID-19. This caused WWE to quarantine a number of stars, but they have not been named yet.
The company’s policy does not limit quarantining to positive COVID-19 tests. As Bryan Alvarez explained during Wrestling Observer Live, if a star was in close proximity to someone who tested positive then they must quarantine as well.
“There was an outbreak. We don’t know who is going to be available for this show. All we know is that they will have a bunch of matches.”
We will have to see what kind of show NXT brings to the USA Network. They have not confirmed anything right now. A few matches were announced, but nothing is set in stone due to so many changes.
We will continue monitoring this story right here at Ringside News.
