Christian Cage is a veteran in the world of pro wrestling and made his in-ring return after seven years, at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, where he had a great performance.

Cage had to retire from WWE in 2014 due to concussion-related issues. Last year Cage was involved in an “unsanctioned match” with Randy Orton on an episode of Monday Night RAW.

While speaking to Sports Illustrated, Christian Cage added that it upset him that WWE put him on the no-contact list, indicating the fact that WWE thought he was fragile.

“That didn’t sit well with me. Am I really that fragile that I need to be on the non-contact list? So I decided to go on my own and see some specialists here in Tampa at the University of South Florida.”

Despite his excellent performance in WWE, Cage didn’t sign a contract with WWE as his talks with the company didn’t really go anywhere. Cage signed a multi-year contract with AEW and will become a mainstay in the company.
