WWE hasn’t been able to run live events for over a year now. The pandemic is still going on, but a vaccine is taking a lot of stress out of the situation, and a light is certainly at the end of the tunnel. The company might return to a city near you sooner than you’d think.
Yahoo recently gave WWE Network’s move to Peacock a little spotlight article. In the piece, it mentioned July as a possible date for when WWE could get back on the road. It was noted that live events aren’t expected until “at least July,” but that’s a hopeful estimate.
“With live road shows not expected to return until at least July, WWE still has not finalized a location for ThunderDome beginning in April. They are currently using Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, but have to leave when the Tampa Bay Rays have their home opener on April 9.”
We have not heard anything official about live events returning just yet. The pandemic won’t be over for a very long time, but the United States might be at a point by July when things can get back to some semblance of normalcy. We can only hope.
