The main event of this Sunday’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view will see AEW World Champion Kenny Omega defending his title against Jon Moxley in a Barbed Wire Deathmatch.

Now it seems Omega has explained the rules for the upcoming match. Three sides of the ring will be wrapped in barbed wire. A wrestler making contact with the barbed wire will trigger the explosives on that particular side of the ring.

As Omega explains, there will be a “Triple Hell” area around the ring, comprising of three zones on the floor that are wired to explosives with exploding platforms that have more barbed wire on them.

The match has a 30-minute time limit, after which, all explosives in and around the ring will detonate simultaneously, leading to a very explosive finish.

THE RULES: -3 sides of the ring ropes wrapped in barbed wire. -contact with barbed wire triggers explosives on the corresponding side. -‘Triple Hell’ (3 zones on the floor wired to explosives) -30 minute countdown timer until all explosives in and around the ring detonate.

A fan took to Twitter and asked Omega  all four sides of the ring with barbed wire ropes why his drawing showed, despite the fact that Omega’s description mentioned three sides of the ring ropes wrapped in barbed wire.

Omega revealed why as he said:

“They’re making me keep a side clear in case of ’emergency’

Omega recently explained why AEW has more violent gimmick matches from time to time. We will have to see whether Kenny Omega will be able to retain his title against Jon Moxley at AEW Revolution.
