Jon Moxley has an exploding barbed wire match coming at AEW Revolution on March 7th. He is also booked to take part in Bloodsport. All the while, his wife Renee Paquette is pregnant with the couple’s first child. It’s a busy time for Moxley, to say the least.
During an interview on Wrestling Observer Live, Jon Moxley was asked if he is getting all of these dangerous bookings out of his system before his daughter arrives. Mox didn’t give any impression that he plans on slowing down even after his wife delivers their baby in a few months.
“I mean I’ve never had a kid before, so I don’t know how much that would change. I can’t say that nothing’s gonna change and then I get the kid and everything changes, so I can’t really anticipate that question.”
“I would think that the lesson I would want to impart to my child or anybody is you don’t wanna do anything stupid or reckless in life, you also gotta live it while you’re here, man. You’ve been blessed with this opportunity to be healthy and with me, I’ve got the greatest life in the world I’ve got a beautiful wife and about to have a kid; and I get to do what I like to do for a living.”
“I don’t have to go to a regular job on Monday. When you first start wrestling that’s half the appeal, like, ‘That’s what they do for a living? I don’t have to go work in a factory, or anything like that? Cool.’ So, I think I would be like, ‘Yo, when you have the opportunity to live life and do the things you wanna do, be grateful for that and take that opportunity and don’t waste it.”
Jon Moxley has some pretty dangerous things on his agenda in the next few few months. He also has a child on the way, but those two things will not conflict with each other from the sound of it.
