Jim Ross Says The Undertaker’s WrestleMania Streak Should’ve Continued

The Undertaker is a legend in the world of professional wrestling. His undefeated streak at WrestleMania remains one of the greatest streaks in the history of the business. The Undertaker’s streak came to an end at WresleMania 30 in 2014, where he was defeated by Brock Lesnar, in a move that shook the pro wrestling world to its core.

While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer talked about the No Way Out 2006 pay-per-view. When discussing Kurt Angle defeating The Undertaker at the event, Ross mentioned The Undertaker’s streak ending. Ross wished that he still remained undefeated even now.

“I was not for it when Undertaker’s streak [was] ended by Lesnar. Not a knock on Brock, just simply I thought that was such a unique calling card. It was so unique and special, all pointing to the biggest event of the year. So Undertaker’s undefeated streak was always in place, it was always something for somebody to shoot for. It became an issue.”

“So, no, I would not have been for beating the streak at that point in time [in 2006 if The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle took place at WrestleMania 22]. Here we’re talking in 2021, the month of February, I’m thinking I still wish he was undefeated.”

The Undertaker officially hung up his boots at last year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view. His final match saw him beating AJ Styles at WresleMania 36 in a Boneyard Match.
