Sammy Guevara was pulled from an Impact Wrestling appearance when he didn’t like their idea. He suggested his own, and they cancelled it. Black Taurus filled in for Guevara during the tapings.
Taurus joined Decay on Impact Wrestling and many fans are wondering if that spot was supposed to go to Guevara. That would have been quite a place to land after departing the Inner Circle.
During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez stated that there were people who knew what Impact Wrestling had in store for Guevara, and they aren’t mad at him for rejecting it. We’re not sure what they had planned, but he could have been in Decay.
“What I can tell you is that there were people who were sympathetic for Sammy Guevara when they heard whatever the idea was they were like, ‘dude that was a bad idea.'”
There is no heat between AEW and Impact Wrestling because of this. It is also reported that AEW and Sammy Guevara have no heat between them either.
It was previously stated that Tony Khan rejected Impact Wrestling’s first pitch, but agreed on the second idea. Sammy Guevara then had his own idea about what he should do on the show. That is when Impact Wrestling nixed the whole thing. Nobody is blaming The Spanish God for it either.
