The Undertaker has made headlines recently for all the wrong reasons after he said that the WWE Superstars of the current era are not ‘real men’ compared to the wrestlers back in his era. He added that wrestlers from his era were far tougher.
Many WWE Superstars and pro wrestlers from other companies have given their opinion on what the Undertaker said. Some have agreed with The Undertaker’s views, including the likes of Goldberg and Ryback.
On the other hand, others have disagreed with The Undertaker, namely Mark Henry, Roman Reigns and more.
While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross gave his thoughts on what The Undertaker said about the current generation of pro wrestlers.
Jim Ross said that he agrees with The Undertaker, noting that modern-day wrestlers aren’t as tough as those from previous eras. Ross added that the reason for them not being as tough is due to how they are being trained.
“Because they’re trained differently. They’re brought into the business differently, they’re not sitting in a car, they’re not making 25-40 bucks a night. It’s just a different ball game and Takers got a good point there. Today’s wrestling getting chopped unmercifully to where your blood is rushing to the surface and bruising is already in effect, probably wouldn’t happen in today’s world because the offending person wouldn’t stand for it.
The ongoing discussion regarding The Undertaker’s words are unlikely to stop anytime soon.
