WWE Hall Of Famer Edge made his shocking return at last year’s Royal Rumble, after a nine-year absence from WWE due to a career-ending injury. Now he is set to make his return at this year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
When Edge retired back in 2011, he had to relinquish the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Now it seems Edge has a more concrete goal than simply returning to the squared circle.
The Rated R Superstar recently took to Twitter, where he commented on his return to the Royal Rumble last year. Edge then revealed his goal for this year, noting that Edge wants back what he never lost, which was the WWE Title.
One year ago. Feels like a decade doesn’t it? Last years story was once in a lifetime. No sense trying to recreate that. Impossible. I don’t have you there. This year my journey is different. I’m not just happy to be back. I want back what I never lost and it starts this Sunday.
It is to be noted that the WWE World Heavyweight Title was retired long ago, so it is likely Edge will go after the WWE Championship that Drew McIntyre currently holds.
