Ringside News exclusively reported how long of a day this will be for the SmackDown crew.
The company is planning for Superstar Spectacle to become a new weekly series. We have not heard any confirmed dates about when that series will begin.
Several main roster WWE Superstars are advertised for the event including Rey Mysterio, Charlotte Flair, AJ Styles, Bayley, The New Day, Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, and Ricochet. Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair will also be a part of the special. There was also a hope that Drew McIntyre will be cleared to make his return during Friday morning’s event as well.

Opening
The ThunderDome opens with the promos for “WWE- Hero in All of Us.”
The show opens with promos from several Indian Superstars including from Guru Raaj, Bollywood Boyz, Jinder Mahal. Jeet Rama, Kavita Devi Singh, Rinku Singh & Saurav Gurjar(Indus Sher), Dilsher Shanky, and Giant Zanjeer.
The ThunderDome played the same promo on repeat for well over thirty minutes, frustrating some fans within the ThunderDome.
There was a big problem where fans saw the same promo on loop for about an hour.
Jinder Mahal came out to hype the crowd. He congratulated India on Republic Day as well. This special will air on January 26th, Republic Day in India. He asked the crowd to make a lot of noise and he said that WWE will give India a weekly show if they’re loud.
Big E and Xavier Woods came out and Michael Cole is on commentary. He said that The New Day are going to do a special Bahangra performance. The New Day wish India a happy Republic Day, and then the Street Profits came out. Ford was said to have fumbled his promo a bit. All four then do a special performance of “Spinning Canvas.”
According to ITN Wrestling, “A Dhol Beater comes out followed by several dancers for a Bhangra performance. After Bhangra, their is a dance party waiting in the ring for some Bollywood style dancing.”
NOW THE SHOW BEGINS
All of the above was apparently a preshow for the ThunderDome. It’s unknown how they will use that footage.
Triple H narrated a promo about India and how important they are to the WWE Universe.
Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Shoraz Ali are on the commentary.
Finn Balor vs Guru Raaj
They make Guru Raaj look good in this match. Finn Balor maintains control through most of the match. It ends with Balor nailing a shotgun dropkick and a 1916 DDT for the win
Winner: Finn Balor
After the match, Balor offers his hand as a token of respect.
Drew McIntyre & Indus Sher vs Jinder Mahal & Bollywood Boyz is announced for later in the show
Dilsher Shanky, Giant Zanjeer, Rey Mysterio & Ricochet vs Dolph Ziggler, King Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro
Nakamura was working as a heel during this match. Shanky and Zanjeer dominated and Rey Mysterio took a beating.
Ricochet asks Zanjeer to throw him into their opponents at ringside. Then Shanky boots Cesaro to set up a 6-1-9. Mysterio hit the 6-1-9 and the Splash for the ring.
Winners: Dilsher Shanky, Giant Zanjeer, Rey Mysterio & Ricochet
AJ Styles vs Jeet Rama
Styles worked as a heel and dominated this match. Rama did break out of a Calf Crusher at one point. Rama tried to hit a belly to belly from the second rope, but Omos helped AJ and then AJ nailed a Phenomenal Forearm for the win.
Winner: AJ Styles
Sareena Sandhu & Charlotte Flair vs Bayley & Natalya
This was a regular tag team match which ended in Flair hitting a Natural Selection for the win.
Winners: Sareena Sandhu & Charlotte Flair
Ric Flair came out for a segment
Drew McIntyre & Indus Sher vs Jinder Mahal & Bollywood Boyz
McIntyre & Mahal start and then the heels got control of the match. The main event match ends with Drew McIntyre nailing a Claymore Kick on Jinder Mahal.
Winners: Drew McIntyre & Indus Sher
