Kofi Kingston is not able to wrestle at the Royal Rumble, ending an 11-year streak. Mustafa Ali made that announcement on WWE RAW this week as he entered himself in the match. Kingston is not happy about that at all.
Mustafa Ali made it clear that this feud with Kingston is based around the road to WrestleMania 35. Ali was injured and Kofi took his spot. What followed was a groundswell of support for Kingston that saw him clinch the WWE Title from Daniel Bryan.
The former WWE Champion tweeted out a video and he was not happy. He declared that war is on. This could give Kofi Kingston even more motivation to get back to work.
Kofi called Ali a coward because of the four on one beatdown that Xavier Woods took on RAW. Kingston is tired of taking the blame for getting Mustafa Ali’s spot at the Elimination Chamber years ago. He’s tired of blaming himself, and he’s not letting that stop him anymore.
“You crossed a line. I keep saying it, and I don’t think you fully understand it, but at some point in time I will be back. The numbers might not be even, but there’s going to be a little bit closer and I’ve got a funny feeling that we’re going to war and I hope you’re ready.”
This is a history-driven angle in the pipeline, and we’re here for it. It all depends on Kofi Kingston’s jaw healing up, but this online promo was certainly intense.
