WWE taped their Superstar Spectacle on Friday, and it was a much different type of show. Ringside News exclusively reported that Vince McMahon was not there for the tapings, or the SmackDown that followed later that night. Triple H was in charge instead.

We previously reported how the Superstar Spectacle taping felt more like an NXT show. They had NXT staffers working on the show, but as we exclusively reported some main roster people were used.

According to PW Insider, “a number of” the talents they used from India were having their in-ring debuts during the Superstar Spectacle. Overall, people are happy about how things turned out.

There will be a number of NXT talents from India who are having their first-ever “real” wrestling match as part of the broadcast and we are told that by and large, those working on the show were really happy with how well they all did under such unique circumstances.

The original plan was to tape the event over several days to compensate for this, but they decided to go with a “live to tape” situation instead, pairing green NXT talent with much more seasoned WWE Superstars.

WWE wanted to make the new talent look as strong as possible. Hopefully, they were able to pull that off. You can click here for our complete Superstar Spectacle spoilers.
