WWE revealed the brackets for the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Classic Tournament. Some fans thought it was very interesting that Marina Shafir was not teamed with her usual partner Jessamyn Duke.
Jessamyn Duke has not appeared for WWE since her appearance on RAW Underground. Fightful Select reports that Duke is not injured, but she’s focused on creating a different form of content.
She is now working with UpUpDownDown. Dakota Kai, Jessamyn Duke, Mia Yim and Shayna Baszler were given titles of “Co-Commissioners” on UpUpDownDown.
Duke was a full time game streamer prior to coming to WWE. Due to her added obligations to UpUpDownDown, Jessamyn Duke won’t be taking part in the 2021 Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
Duke was a full-time game streamer when she was hired by WWE, and effectively creates digital content full time for WWE now, and was said to have preferred that role over wrestling in the current climate.
There were reportedly no plans on NXT’s part to have Duke tag with Shafir for the tournament. At this tike there are no imminent plans to bring Jessamyn Duke back to television in any capacity.
